Why should we choose Water Tank Rescue to look after our tanks?

Water Tank Rescue is trying to bring a modern approach to a very old problem...

Capturing water and cleaning tanks.

We strive to ensure that we are using the latest and most sought after technology for your water systems, always looking for improvements and investing time in the development of new methods.

Our focus is on a holistic approach to your water

  • Where the water comes from
  • How it is gathered and transported to your tank
  • Keeping your tanks in a good condition to hold water
  • How you can further protect yourself once the water leaves the tank heading to your tap.

After spending nearly a decade as a diver in drinking water systems and treatment, Heysen and his team have seen the result of poor water management. Our drive is to ensure that you and your family are drinking high quality safe water.

How do you clean our tanks?

We use a vacuum method to suck the concentrated sediment layer from the bottom of the tank. We call this our Water-Saver clean. This leaves the rest of the water in the tank and ready for use!

This system helps us to provide you with the best possible water to drink!

If required, we can drain and scrub the inside of the tank. This is our Total-Clean and is used for contaminated or very dirty tanks.

How much water do you need? How much do you use?

We can clean tanks that are nearly empty all the way to the top. Our cleaning systems are designed to work at all tank levels.

Our Water-Saver clean generally requires the tanks to be 1/2 full or more.

Our favourite tanks though are ones that are full!

We pride ourselves on being as efficient and effective as possible, focusing on minimal water loss, usually 15% of the water in the tank. Sometimes even less!

For our total-cleans, we drain the tanks right down and remove everything from the tank. They will be ready for refilling once we have completed our work.

Do I need to empty the tank before you get here?

Please leave the water in the tank!

The old method of tank cleaning involved draining and entering the tank, water deliveries, high expense and increased safety risk.

We stay outside of the tank, allowing the sediment to come out and the water to stay in!

What other services do you offer?

We wont limit ourselves by our website!

Water Tank Rescue has undertaken a range of water related jobs, helping people with their tanks, catchment systems.

Just recently we rescued a tank that had rolled down a steep hill, too far for a crane or a tow truck to bring it back.

Our drones have been used to help capture imagery for property owners, realestate agents and local trades.

Clean driveways look great! Get us in to pressure wash yours.

and.... we have even helped retrieve tennis, soccer, rugby, golf and cricket balls from the roof whilst conducting our gutter cleaning and catchment inspections.

Are you able to do this safely?

Yes!

Safety at Water Tank Rescue is crucial. Each task has a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) identifying, assessing and controlling the risks we expect to see.

When we get to site, sometimes things change. We use a 3 step check to ensure we can cary out the work.

  1. Have we received training?
  2. Are you experienced and competent in the work to be performed?
  3. Can we identify risks and can we control them?

When we can answer these questions, we get to work.

Some of our training includes but is not limited to:

  • WHS White Card
  • Working at heights certifications including supervision of workers at height
  • Confined space certification
  • Water Hygiene training
  • First aid training
  • Crane direction (Dogging) and Rigging
  • Medical Fitness Checks
